JSA Classified No. 8 Review

Jay and Ted, two of the best known members of the JSA (Justice Society of America) and better known as the Flash and Wildcat, are highlighted in this issue.

The artwork is very good although the coloring of the hair of our highlighted heroes seems a little on the reddish side, considering that I have always seen them before with brown/black hair. Aside from that fact it doesn't take away at all from a great story.

Years ago there was a JSA storyline that featured the mythical, mystical Spear of Destiny, which is rumored even in real life to have been in the possession of Adolf Hitler. This Spear gave the one who possessed it the power to control those who supposedly were of metahuman nature, such as the Flash.

Once again the Spear is back and controlled by a nasty cult who wants to destroy the Justice Society of America starting with it's senior members. In a fight with one of the fastest men alive (Sorry Jay, but I think Bart and Wally are faster), can Wildcat possibly have a chance to survive? Just what is the purpose of the cult leader in having Flash and Wildcat possibly do each other in?

Can't the Flash have more willpower than to try to kill Wildcat? Evidently not since he's not a modern day Green Lantern whose existence is dependent upon their willpower.
